Please Note:  When you simmer a potpourri the scent leaves the potpourri and is released into the air.  The more you simmer it the more the scent fades.  You only need about a 1/4 of cup to simmer in water in an electric simmering pot or in an old pan on the stove top.  Be sure to bring the water to just a simmer, do not boil.  Check the water levels often
 
Refrigerate after each use and you can use over and over again.
